The Marinucci Family Foundation

The Marinucci Family Foundation has been a long-time supporter of, and champion for, Mohawk College. The consistent philanthropic investment over many years reflects the Foundation’s recognition of the transformative power of education. Through generous contributions, they have had, and will continue to have, a profound impact on so many in our community and throughout the country. We are honoured to recognize the Marinucci Family Foundation as champions of education and innovation at Mohawk College.

The funding received through the Marinucci Family Foundation has advanced applied research with the naming of the Marinucci Family Foundation IDEAWORKS Lab, catapulted Mohawk College’s leadership in sustainability and green building technologies with its gift to the Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation, recognized with the naming of the Marinucci Foundation Gallery, and launched the Marinucci Family Centre for Professional Advancement & Continuing Studies, supporting innovative education solutions to improve workforce development locally and nationally.

Established in honour of John’s parents, Guerino and Anna Maria Marinucci, who inspired the family’s philanthropic mission, the Marinucci Family Foundation is led by John Marinucci and Sarah Vienot and provides philanthropic support to education, in particular, post-secondary initiatives to support students through scholarships and bursaries as well investment to support the advancement of post-secondary programming. Complementing his financial support, John has also volunteered his time, serving as both a governor and as Chair of the Mohawk College Board of Governors from 2009 to 2015.

Mohawk College is proud to recognize and thank the Marinucci Family Foundation, and John and Sarah in particular for their ongoing support, enthusiasm, and wise counsel.
